Ian Bostridge is a British operatic countertenor known for his powerful and expressive voice. Born in 1964 in London, Bostridge began his musical training at the Royal College of Music before going on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Bostridge made his professional debut in 1987 with the English National Opera, where he sang in the title role of Handel's 'Alcina.' He has since gone on to perform in numerous operas, including 'The Rake's Progress' and 'The Turn of the Screw,' showcasing his impressive vocal range and versatility.
