    William Walton was a British composer known for his orchestral works, particularly his The Planets suite, which is considered one of the most iconic pieces of British classical music. Born in 1902 in Oldham, Lancashire, Walton came from an artistic family and showed a keen interest in music from an early age. He studied at the Royal College of Music and later at the University of Oxford, where he developed his skills as a composer.
